Application Processing Status

The new online Teacher Information Management System (TIMS) was launched on December 19th, 2011.  All applications for teacher/educator certification must be submitted online through TIMS.  For information about available credentials and the requirements for certification, please review the paper application booklets available on the web. To learn more about TIMS, go to www.PA-TIMS.com and review tabs across the top of the page, specifically the User Guide, Training, etc.

  • Please allow 8 weeks for application processing once all needed documentation has been received by PDE. 
  • Paper applications are NO LONGER required or accepted.  However, TIMS does require that some proof items be mailed to PDE with the cover sheet.  View the News & Announcements on the TIMS web page for additional information.

If your status reads, "Pending Documentation," this may mean that your paper documents have not yet been scanned into TIMS.  We are currently scanning paper applications received during the first week of January.
