Report To General Assembly - Act 24 Data Collection for Pennsylvania Departments of Education and Public Welfare
Pursuant to Act 24 of 2011, the Departments of Education (PDE) and Public Welfare (DPW) have developed the following report regarding PDE’s Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS) and the Pennsylvania’s Enterprise to Link Information for Children Across Networks (PELICAN) which both PDE and DPW oversee. This report contains a narrative of the development of each system and an explanation of each individual data element; tables that outline the data elements that are used for reporting as well as the state or federal authority that requires the collection; and an explanation of the funding for both systems.
