PEGS - Pennsylvanians for Education of Gifted Students

http://www.pegsgifted.org/portal/

PEGS, Inc. is a non-profit organization, a 501(c)(3) Organization, that advocates for the educational rights of Pennsylvania children enrolled in public education who are gifted.  This advocacy work includes outreach to parents, teachers, and adminstrators regarding each group's obligations as described in Pennsylvania's gifted education regulations, Chapter 16.

PEGS, Inc. advocates for systemic reform to ensure that the educational right of the gifted student to a free, appropriate public education based on their needs does not rely on any individual GIEP Team member, but rather is the natural by-product of both the Legislature's intent through its regulations and the Pennsylvania Department of Education's role in administering them.
