Online Course Catalog
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is pleased to announce the acceptance of applications to participate in the Online Course Catalog for Algebra I and Biology. Interested course providers are invited to complete an application and submit evidence that their Algebra I and Biology courses are aligned to the International Association for K-12 Learning (iNACOL) rubric.
PA Inspired Leaders
The Pennsylvania Inspired Leadership (PIL) Program is a statewide, standards-based continuing professional education program for school and system leaders. The comprehensive, cohort-based program is focused on developing the capacity of leaders to improve student achievement.
PA Pre K Counts
Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts, established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, is bringing quality half-day and full-day pre-kindergarten to 11,800 3 and 4 year olds in Pennsylvania. PA Pre-K Counts is designed for children who are between age 3 and until the entry age for kindergarten and are at risk of school failure, either because of income, language, cultural or special needs issues.
PA Transfer and Articulation Center (PA TRAC)
Earning credits at more than one institution is common for today's college students. Many begin at a community college and transfer to a four-year college or university. In Pennsylvania, students can learn how to maximize their credit transfer and reduce credit loss by accessing the Pennsylvania Transfer and Articulation Center (PA TRAC).
PAsecureID is a unique, permanent, anonymous state-wide student ID assigned to all students upon their first entry into the Commonwealth public school system. A single, unique PAsecureID remains with an individual student throughout their educational career.
Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS)
PDE’s statewide longitudinal data system is improve data capabilities by enhancing school districts’ capacities to meet student-level data reporting requirements and provide robust decision support tools.
Property Tax Relief
The Taxpayer Relief Act law eases the financial burden of home ownership by providing school districts the means to lower property taxes to homeowners, especially senior citizens, via the funding provided by gaming revenue. Property Tax Relief Data may be found here.
The Division of Subsidy Data and Administration collects transportation-related data from those Pennsylvania school districts, intermediate units, and career and technology centers that provide pupil transportation. Included on the Pupil Transportation web pages are instructions for submitting the data via the web-based eTran application, as well as general information regarding the provision of pupil transportation and the calculation of the subsidies.
